Wet n Wild Color Icon Palettes Review

Hey everyone, I hope your all having a great day! I just wanted to pass on my opinions of the Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes that I recently picked up at the drugstore. I bought two of them in the shades "Comfort Zone" and "Blue Had Me at Hello." They also have a purple palette (not sure of the shade name) but I just havent picked that one up yet but I probably will next time I go to Walgreens if its in stock. These palettes each come with eight shades and two eyeshadow "looks," (one for day and one for night). They have divided the palette up into 4 shades for the day and four for the night. Anyway, my overall opinions of these palettes are that they are fantastic for the price and it really suprised me that Wet n Wild has eyeshadows that are comparable to the quality of MAC.

Ok so the first one I picked up and the one I'm reviewing today is the one in the shade "Comfort Zone." As i said above, they have divided the palette up into four shades for the day and four shades for the night. The day colors are a light champagne color for the browbone, a pinky light brown for the eyelid (its really hard to desribe that color because its so unique), a medium brown color with some shimmer for the crease, and a deep cranberry with gold shimmer called the "definer" but basically its the outer v color. I definetely use these colors alot more than the night time colors becuase they are much more wearable. I wear the browbone color on the inner part of my lid and put the crease shade on the outer part of my lid for an everyday neutral look. It looks super natural and gives you a natural but polished look. The only day-time color I don't like is the outer v color. It is way too soft and powdery. If I barely touch my brush into it, I still have way too much product to even try to use it. Since it is so soft, it breaks all the time too and gets the eyeshadow all over the rest of the colors in the palette as well as whatever is around it. The night-time colors are a silvery-brown taupe color for the browbone (exact dupe for MAC Stain Taupe), a medium green for the eyelid, a deep green with gold shimmer for crease, and the definer color is a color that is probably the most interesting eyeshadow I have ever seen. It is cranberry but it has gold shimmer as well as this teal metallic finish to it. It so amazing in the pan but when I swatch it, it just looks like a black with teal shimmers which was pretty disappointing. The rest of the night-time eyshadows are great quality and beautiful on the eyes. My favorite combination with this palette is putting the browbone color from the night time look on the lid and the crease color from the daytime look. Overall these are phenomenal eyeshadows for the price (around $5 for 8 eyeshadows!) and i definately recommend you try them out because I gurantee you'll love at least 6 out of the 8 colors. I will be doing a review on the "Blue Had Me at Hello" very soon so keep a look out for that! :) Hope this review helped you in some way!

Have a great day! and God Bless!
